This product is a new generation patient folder. The days of fever charts, heavy report folders, and unwieldy X-ray film are over. With SpiritEHR you can comfortably search for patients and their data, and based on the guidelines developed by the IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise), they can be found swiftly.
Using these standards it is possible to file data, including lab reports, medical history, and radiological and other images, in one or even several different repositories. Metadata (information about what is saved where) are written to the appropriate patient registry, making the data accessible from anywhere. The documents released for access (reports, images, etc.) can be viewed, depending on the access rights.
All accesses are logged in an audit file, providing a record of who accessed the data when and where. With the required permissions, patient data may be viewed with a web browser.
The SpiritEHR is designed according to IHE guidelines and offers an all-encompassing interoperability with software from many providers of hospital information systems. This guarantees that hospital patient data can be used by other clinics or by practitioners.

Based on these data, duplicate tests are avoided and follow-up appointments can be more effective. Should further medical care be necessary, the patient can go to the hospital or to his or her family practitioner without having to search for old reports, X-rays, or other data. At the hospital or doctor's office the patient can be treated according to his or her previous medical care history.
The IHE integration profiles, with the accompanying actors, are practically applied in the SpiritEHR. These are tested biannually at the international IHE compatibility test, the Connect-a-thon. This testing ensures quality and provides investment security. The results are open to the public. |

SpiritGate is a flexible, high-availability TCP server from Tiani Spirit, based on the non-blocking JBoss Netty NIO framework (http://netty.io/). The JGroups toolkit (http://www.jgroups.org/) is used for group membership detection.
The server can handle thousands of concurrent connections and has no dependency on other Tiani Spirit actors or components. It needs no database and no LDAP server, and it runs outside of the JBoss application server. SpiritGate acts as a reverse proxy and will dispatch the requests to the underlying actors.
The functionality which is provided includes port unification, which makes it possible to run DICOM, HL7-V2, LDAP, and HTTP over the same TCP port; flexible load balancing using real system load information; server failover handling; as well as HTTP, DICOM, and HL7-V2 routing. |

Benefits of SpiritEhrBase and SpiritEhr
SpiritEhrWS is based on SpiritEhrBase, which is a software layer that simplifies the implementation of IHE standard transactions which are needed to implement an EHR portal. Furthermore, SpiritEhrBase includes business logic that is needed to combine different client-side IHE actors and their transactions for communication with an EHR back-end system.
SpiritEhrWS reduces the development effort that is needed to be able to connect to an IHE EHR system to a minimum.
